Early drug discovery and preclinical biology must be closely coupled with screening, PK, ADME, safety pharmacology and toxicology. Egret’s lead optimization programs emphasize rapid evaluations of desirable properties to insure that the developed compounds have desirable drug-like properties and appropriate safety profiles. For key compound evaluations, Egret works in strategic alliance with the leading pharmacology and toxicology centers of China. These scientific collaborations help establish toxicological profiles that are used to guide regulatory submissions to Chinese and international authorities. Joint programs with Chinese drug safety centers are carried out with the assistance of international auditing and training teams.
